📊 Volume Profile
Volume at price — where the market actually did business, and where it refused to.
0/5Start →
A volume profile turns volume sideways: instead of showing how much traded per bar, it shows how much traded at each price over a session or any range you choose. It's the clearest single picture of where the auction accepted price and where it didn't.
Key Insight
Thick areas are where the market agreed; thin areas are where it didn't. Price tends to slow down in thick areas and travel through thin ones.
Questions this module helps you answer
- Where did the most business happen, and where was price rejected?
- How do session, composite and visible-range profiles differ?
- What are HVNs, LVNs, the POC and the value area — and how does price tend to behave around them?
- What can a profile not tell me?
Core Pillars
- Construction — price bins, the time window and the data all change the picture.
- Profile types — session, composite, fixed and developing profiles answer different questions.
- Nodes and value — HVN, LVN, POC, VAH, VAL and shelves.
- Limits — a profile is history, not a forecast.
