A 1-on-1 review: five mistakes, one fix
- 5 mistakes found
- FOMO entry
- Panic exit
- Chased re-entry
- Moved stop
- Revenge trade
What happened
- 1FOMO: a long after a big green candle, in the middle of nowhere. No level, no plan.
- 2First red candle — panic. Out for −0.5R, and price goes straight back up without you.
- 3Chases it back in, higher than the first entry.
- 4The original stop gets hit… so the stop is moved lower "to give it room".
- 5Stopped at the moved stop. A −1R plan just became −2.1R.
- 6Revenge: an instant short at the POC to "make it back". No level, no trigger — just anger.
- 7Stopped again, −1R. Three trades, −3.6R, before 10:45 — and this is usually when people size up.
The fix
- 8The plan: wait for the value-area low and sellers getting absorbed there. Long, 15 pts of risk.
- 9Target the POC: +2.3R. One trade. Same day, same chart, different decisions.
- FOMO entry
- Fix: no level, no trade. Entries only at a marked level, with a trigger.
- Panic exit
- Fix: you exit at the stop or the target — or when the reason for the trade is gone. Not on one red candle.
- Chased re-entry
- Fix: missed it? It's gone. The next trade comes from the next level.
- Moved stop
- Fix: stops only move toward profit. Ever.
- Revenge trade
- Fix: two losses and you're done for the day. Close the platform, open the journal.
The lessonThe levels weren't the problem — five decisions were. In 1-on-1 we find yours in your journal, then build the rule that stops it happening again.
